Many old hands in the construction industry may remember the names "Alpha Glass Fibres Limited" or "Wilsons". These are our forebears.

Alpha was set up around 1970 and between roughly 1980 to 2001 developed many of the GRP products used today. Towards the end of 2001, the owners sold the companies and retired. The new owner failed and after 18 months the middle management rescued and secured the company and its reputation as a valued supplier to the home building industry. GRP Structures Limited was created in May 2003 and the Portsmouth based company continues as an active and vibrant supplier to house builders with good middle management thus continuity was maintained.

Today, some five years later, GRP Structures Limited continues to thrive, earning new customers and developing new ideas. This period has been a rewarding accomplishment for the employees as they have grown and developed the company and its product range. GRP Structures has emphasied quality of service, quality of product, flexibiity and a willingness to listen so they can meet their customer's needs.
