Dovecotes and Clock Towers

Dovecotes, roof turrets and clock towers add individuality to a building.  Self coloured, lightweight and requiring single trade fixing – success is assured!

Our range of dovecotes and clock towers can be classified by two main criteria:- the base size (562 mm, 850 mm, 1200 mm) and the roof shape (concave, domed, ogee, pyramid or almost flat).  Once the basic dovecote has been chosen it can be topped off with a finial or a weather vane.

Weather vanes can be sourced with many different themes from a simple wind direction arrow to more complex motif reflecting hobbies, interests, environments and passions.  Contact us for advice in this area.

As a guide to the combinations available, we offer the following.

Small series, 562 sq base      Purbrook            (Concave roof)

                                           Portchester        (Domed roof)

Medium series, 850 sq base   Fareham            (Concave roof, no cornice)

                                           Finchdean          (Concave roof with cornice)

                                           Funtley              (Domed roof with cornice)

Finchdean Ogee (Ogee roof with cornice)

Finchdean Flat    (Shallow pitched roof with cornice)

Large series, 1200 sq base    Southwick          (Concave roof with cornice)

                                           Staunton           (Domed roof with cornice)

                                           Chatham           (Pyramid roof with cornice)

Exactly the same process can be used for choosing a clock tower.  The only difference is the insertion of one or more (up to four) clock faces into the structure.

In the examples that follow we will show you various combinations that will demonstrate the scope available.  Finally, bespoke constructions can be manufactured as the photo shows.
